Self-Introduction Poem

I’m silent like a baby lamb.

Chocolate covered skin is what people see as

My height is similar to the size of a middle

Schooler.

My raven-hair is smooth and silky

Like my dad’s.

Original Poem

I'll stay by your side

Apples never grow bright red

Once you're gone

The garden is empty without

Your presence to warm it

I'll stay by your side

Tick tock, tick tock

Hours, days, months go

By and you're not here

Your smile brightens the atmosphere

And it's warmest in the room

I could never imagine you

Light up my life like a ball of fire

I’ll stay by your side

When I first found your wings clipped and bruised

I took you home with me

I fed you

I bathed you

I treated you like you were my friend

I nurtured you back to health

As I watch your wings soar in the sky,

I couldn't see you anymore as you disappeared into the misty sky

I am quiet as a mouse that’s trying to speak louder than a lion.

There was a big bright blue house that’s overlooking the horizon.

I’m a caged bird, whose wings are clipped

I landed on my feet but I stumbled down in the puddle of mud.

Emulation of Coming Night

Emulation of coming night

When apathy, like an accurate

Paper lantern, contorted

And spirals out and the abstract

Light of emptiness within it;

When even those glowing

Strange people seemed

Crumbling have dissolved into

Oblivion or burned alive

We’re left nothing but hallow

Shells of the ever night, with

Morning light coming in the heart

Of what happened today

Was not simply evening,

Everything stood still and

Nothing changed

It is almost feels we’re trapped

In this never ending cycle.

Light of emptiness within it;

We’re left nothing but hallow,

Shells of ever night

In this never ending cycle.
